St Ursula’s are working toward the Mayor’s Award for Excellence as a Health Improving School. This award recognises those schools that want to go for excellence and focus on overall health rather than one topic area. This means focussing on four core badges, chosen because they’re a current national and local Public Health focus.

The core badges are:

  • PSHE (Personal, Social and Health Education). This includes relationships and sex education
  • Food and nutrition
  • Physical activities
  • Mental health and wellbeing

If you would like to be part of our journey to improve health and happiness at St Ursula’s E-ACT Academy please let Dharani Pillay know via the academy office.

There will be lots of projects running throughout the year and we are looking for your ideas and help with gardening, cooking, sports clubs and healthy activities both inside and outside of the academy.

Do you have a business or know of a business that would be willing to sponsor a project e.g. planters to set up our own garden to grow vegetables; new water bottles for our children; sports coaches; etc?

If you have any contacts or a desire to be involved please get in touch.
